When tires feel sticky after application, what is the recommended removal method?
When tires feel sticky after application, this usually indicates that too much product was applied or that excess product was not removed. To correct this, we recommend wiping the tire surface with a clean, dry microfiber or cotton towel to remove any excess Tire Wet.
If the surface remains sticky, the tire can be washed with mild soap and water, rinsed thoroughly, and allowed to dry. For complete removal of the product, you may use Rain-X® Pro Big, Tar & Adhesive Remover, following the label directions.
When reapplying Tire Wet, use a lighter, even coat and allow the product to set according to the label directions to achieve the desired finish without residue.
