The difference between premium and budget wiper blades is that, typically, premium blades are beam blades, while budget blades are either conventional or hybrid wiper blades.  Beam blades have more even pressure distribution for a smoother, more even wipe. Beam blades do not have exposed metal, so they would not rust as a conventional blade would. Beam blades also do not trap water/ice as conventional blades do. Conventional blades are good for those who are on a tight budget and need a good option at a lower price point.
